About The Position

Buzzi Unicem USA is seeking a Technical Service Representative to serve as the technical liaison between customers and the company’s production, sales, and marketing functions in Kansas, Oklahoma, Western Missouri, and Texas. The role supports customer issue resolution, technical training and presentations, product and plant performance monitoring, and the development of quality and performance information. The representative also works with customers and internal teams on concrete and masonry applications and represents Buzzi Unicem USA in regional technical and promotional organizations.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree or Concrete Industry Management degree.
• Experience in the concrete, masonry, or cement industry.
• Knowledge of concrete, masonry, or cement technology and applications.
• Knowledge of cement and admixture chemistry.
• High degree of integrity.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with attention to conveying accurate and appropriate information.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to make promotional and technical presentations to architects and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Work with sales personnel to prevent and resolve customer-related issues.
• Help train sales personnel.
• Conduct customer seminars on technical and marketing subjects.
• Respond to federal, state, and local government agencies.
• Represent Buzzi Unicem USA in regional technical and promotional organizations.
• Assist customers with mix designs.
• Respond to technical questions from architects, engineers, contractors, and customers.
• Use a company-wide tracking system to resolve customer complaints.
• Monitor cement plant performance.
• Coordinate with plant quality control personnel to develop a company database.
• Provide a rational basis for establishing target cement performance levels based on concrete and masonry testing.
• Conduct concrete and masonry tests to compare the company’s cement performance with competitors’ products.
• Provide input for product data sheets, such as MSDS.
