About The Position

Novonesis is seeking a Technical Service Manager for their Fresh Dairy & Cheese division, covering the NY/PA region. This role is part of the Dairy Sales and Technical Service team, which provides expertise, problem-solving, and consultative selling of food culture and enzyme solutions to customers across North America. The Technical Service Manager will act as a key technical partner to cheese and fresh dairy customers, focusing on customer retention and site optimization. This position involves close collaboration with Account Managers and other technical colleagues. The role combines hands-on plant work with analytical problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration with commercial, technical, and innovation teams.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in cheese and fresh dairy manufacturing.
  • In-plant dairy production experience (required).
  • Strong knowledge of plant operations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Dairy Science, Food Science, Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a similar field.
  • Ability to conduct statistical analysis and translate data into practical process improvements.
  • Strong analytical thinking, curiosity, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating across teams.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet travel requirements.

  • Enable business retention and customer maintenance through proactive technical service and optimization activities.
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers, solving complex production challenges.
  • Support trials, data analysis, and technical reporting that drive customer value and growth.
  • Contribute technical expertise across North American regions as time allows.
