About The Position

Glen Raven Material Solutions is recruiting for a Technical Section Leader. This role will work with the other Technical Section Leaders to monitor the overall mechanical function of manufacturing equipment at the Burlington Plant. This position has a pay rate of $32.41/hour, based upon education and/or experience.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Computer experience required, including Excel software programs.
MS Office (Word, Outlook and Excel)
A leader in Safety and Quality among peers.
Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to speak in a public setting.
Ability to multi-task and handle varied manufacturing functions and priorities.
Strong bias for action

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a leadership and/or supervisory role is strongly preferred.
Textile Manufacturing experience or General Manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Follow company policies, safe work practices, prevent injury to yourself and other associates
Report any unsafe work condition or any work-related injury to your supervisor immediately
Actively participate in product development and production of sample yarns on available equipment
Inspect, repair, or replace machine parts as scheduled or when major breakdowns occur
Be knowledgeable about the equipment in the Burlington Plant (yarn spinning)
Maintain an adequate supply of spare parts. Notify supply room coordinator when parts need to be ordered
Work with shift technicians when necessary to troubleshoot and solve machine problems
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance
Line level, dismantle and erect machinery as needed
Maintain good housekeeping
Ensure all equipment compressed air and electrical connections are in good working order
Perform other technical duties as directed by the manufacturing manager
