About The Position

Johnson Controls is hiring a Technical Sales Trainee for its Building Early Career Sales Training (BEST) Program. This six-month development program is designed for recent engineering graduates seeking a career in technical sales. Participants receive a dedicated mentor and support from a nationwide network of sales professionals. Through classroom training, hands-on experience, and customer interactions, trainees develop technical expertise, business acumen, and relationship-building skills.

The trainee learns about Johnson Controls HVAC equipment, services, and building solutions; supports sales activities, proposals, and project opportunities; and works with customers and local sales and operations teams to deliver successful outcomes. The role involves presenting technical solutions to help customers improve building performance and sustainability. The job is based in Houston, Texas.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, with an anticipated graduation date of December 2026 or May/June 2027.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively.
• U.S. citizenship or permanent residency.

Nice To Haves

• Mechanical, Industrial, or related Engineering degree.

Responsibilities
