About The Position

Advanced Heat Treat Corp. (AHT) is seeking a motivated, customer-focused Technical Sales Associate to join our values-driven, family-owned company. As a leader in the heat treat industry, we pride ourselves on our friendly atmosphere and commitment to customer service. This role, based in our Cullman, AL facility, requires a dynamic and resourceful individual with exceptional interpersonal skills to attract, engage, manage, and build relationships with new and existing customers. The Technical Sales Associate will be responsible for meeting the company's overall vision strategy by successfully managing customer and prospect needs. This position reports to the Sales Team Manager and is part of the Sales and Marketing team. AHT has 44 years of experience and offers over 20 services, solving part problems for industries including agriculture, construction, and automotive. We operate four facilities and are ISO/TS16949, FFL, and NADCAP certified, recognized as a worldwide leader in heat treatment with our ULTRAGLOW surface treatment process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a technical field preferred.
  • 3+ years in industrial customer service or sales.

  • Prior heat treat and/or sales experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Be a key cross-functional contributor and collaborative member of the Sales and Marketing team.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and follow up on leads provided from website traffic, email, and direct mail campaigns.
  • Ensure pricing of all products meets expected profit margin and adjust pricing based on competition, supply, and demand.
  • Attend occasional tradeshows or conferences to develop leads and continue professional growth.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base.
  • Effectively communicate value propositions through in-person visits, email, and phone calls.
  • Manage effective customer communication to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Analyze statistics or other data from our CRM system to identify opportunities.
  • Coordinate with the operations manager to ensure orders are delivered and exceed customer expectations.
  • Learn operations and the quoting process during the first 60-90 days of onboarding.
