Advanced Heat Treat Corp. (AHT) is a family-owned business and an established leader in the heat treat industry, with a mission to "Exceeding Expectations with UltraGlowing Results". With 44 years of experience and over 20 services, AHT solves part problems across various sectors including agriculture, construction, automotive, and aerospace. The company operates four facilities, two in Waterloo, IA, one in Monroe, MI, and one in Cullman, AL, and holds ISO/TS16949, FFL, and NADCAP certifications. AHT is recognized globally for its ULTRAGLOW surface treatment process for engineered steel, cast iron, stainless steel, and titanium parts. The Technical Sales Associate role is for a customer-focused service and sales professional who thrives in a smaller, nimble company environment. This position is based out of the Cullman, AL facility and involves attracting, engaging, managing, and building relationships with new and existing customers. The associate is responsible for meeting company objectives by managing customer and prospect needs and reports to the Sales Team Manager as part of the Sales and Marketing team.

Requirements

  • 3+ years in industrial customer service or sales
  • Position will require travel throughout your assigned territory. Travel is expected 50% of the month.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in technical field preferred
  • Prior heat treat and/or sales experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Expected to be a key cross-functional contributor and collaborative members of our Sales and Marketing team
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
  • Collaborate with Marketing and follow up on leads provided from website traffic, email and direct mail campaigns, etc.
  • Ensure pricing of all products meets expected profit margin and adjust pricing based on competition, supply and demand, etc.
  • Attend the occasional tradeshow or conference to develop leads and continue professional growth
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base
  • Effectively communicate value propositions through in-person visits, email, phone calls, etc.
  • Manage effective customer communication to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Analyze statistics or other data from our CRM system to identify opportunities
  • Coordinate with operations manager to ensure orders are delivered and exceed customer expectations
  • First 60-90 days of onboarding will be learning operations and the quoting process
