Requirements

  • 5 plus years of experience in safety analysis, risk assessment, or technical safety roles
  • Experience in transit, transportation, infrastructure, or regulated environments preferred
  • Experience conducting hazard analyses or safety assessments
  • Experience preparing technical reports and documentation
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical writing skills
  • Working knowledge of safety management systems and risk mitigation practices
  • Familiarity with OSHA, FTA, or similar regulatory frameworks

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with system safety methods such as hazard analysis or FMEA
  • Experience supporting rail, bus, or multimodal transit systems
  • Certifications such as ASP, CSP, SMS, or engineering licensure
  • Experience with safety-critical systems or infrastructure
  • Experience building dashboards or data-driven reporting tools

Responsibilities

  • Perform technical safety reviews of systems, processes, equipment, and operations
  • Conduct hazard identification and risk assessments using structured methodologies
  • Evaluate safety impacts of system changes, modifications, and field conditions
  • Develop and maintain hazard logs, risk matrices, and mitigation strategies
  • Provide technical advisory support on safety risks, system performance, and compliance
  • Prepare safety reports, hazard analyses, and technical evaluations
  • Analyze safety data and trends to identify emerging risks and improvement opportunities
  • Support audits, regulatory reviews, and compliance documentation
  • Participate in field reviews, site visits, and operational observations
  • Coordinate with safety, engineering, operations, and maintenance teams
