About The Position

The Technical Report Specialist is responsible for preparing accurate, professional customer-facing reports by compiling laboratory test data, photographs, and supporting documentation into established report templates. This role requires strong attention to detail, sound reasoning, and the ability to understand and communicate technical information clearly. The Technical Report Specialist works closely with laboratory personnel to ensure that report information is complete, accurate, and presented in a clear and professional manner.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong technical writing and written communication skills.
  • Good reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and basic Excel.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple reports and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to understand technical information and translate it into clear written documentation.
  • Comfortable working collaboratively with laboratory and technical personnel.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience preparing technical, laboratory, manufacturing, or quality-related reports.
  • Experience working in a testing laboratory or manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with electronics components or electronic component testing.
  • Basic familiarity with industry standards such as AS6081 or AS6171 is a plus, but is not required.

Responsibilities

  • Compile test data, photographs, and supporting documentation into customer reports.
  • Review information for completeness, accuracy, and consistency before reports are issued.
  • Work with laboratory technicians and other team members to clarify missing or inconsistent information.
  • Follow established report templates, procedures, and formatting requirements.
  • Ensure reports are completed accurately and within established customer deadlines.
  • Proofread reports for grammar, spelling, formatting, and overall clarity.
  • Maintain organized records of completed reports and supporting documentation.
  • Identify and communicate discrepancies or missing information that could affect report completion.
  • Support continuous improvement of report templates and processes as needed.
