About The Position

The Technical Recruiter I (Military/Nuclear Recruiter) will spearhead the development and execution of recruitment strategies that attract highly qualified candidates for a variety of roles in the nuclear industry, including entry-level technicians, mid to senior level technicians, NDE and NDT Inspectors, mechanical and electrical technicians, non-executive corporate roles, general maintenance, and safety compliance positions—across our nuclear operations. Reporting to senior leadership, this role requires a strategic thinker who can partner with internal stakeholders to build and nurture a robust talent pipeline that supports our current and future business goals.

Requirements

  • Minimum High School diploma or equivalent and demonstrated professional experience.
  • A minimum of 2+ years’ experience in military recruitment, with a demonstrated track record in transitioning candidate engagement to selection, for technical or industrial roles (nuclear industry a plus).
  • Deep understanding of recruitment best practices, sourcing strategies, and labor market trends specific to the pipeline or similar technical industries.
  • Intermediate Level Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
  • Intermediate Level Experience using HR platforms (ADP).
  • Intermediate Level Experience using Job Recruiting platforms including Indeed, LinkedIn or others as need.
  • Intermediate Level Experience using Microsoft Office and Sharepoint products with direct experience in: Outlook, Word, Excel, and Dynamics.
  • Ability to work 100% on-site in our office building.
  • Requires U.S. travel of up to 30% to support recruiting events and industry activities.

Nice To Haves

  • A minimum of 2+ years’ nuclear knowledge and experience or direct nuclear recruitment, with a demonstrated track record in recruiting for nuclear or technical roles.
  • Associates Degree or certification related to Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Knowledge of safety, regulatory, or compliance standards relevant to industrial (nuclear) operations is highly desirable.
  • Staffing agency recruiting experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with data analytics tools for measuring recruiting effectiveness is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and continuously refine comprehensive recruitment strategies tailored to the technical and operational needs of a large nuclear contract labor company.
  • Plan and execute targeted sourcing campaigns using cutting-edge technologies.
  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from requisition intake, crafting job descriptions, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and final candidate selection.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers and human resources to identify skill gaps and workforce needs, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Experience overseeing recruitment and promotional budgets, including monitoring expenditures, analyzing year-over-year trends, and preparing budget forecasts in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain and optimize candidate databases and pipelines using modern Applicant Tracking Systems (MS Dynamics).
  • Engage with industry associations, academic institutions, and professional networks to establish lasting talent relationships that drive diversity and inclusion.
  • Ensure recruitment practices comply with company policies, industry-specific regulations, and labor laws as they pertain to safety and operational standards.
  • Analyze recruitment data and metrics to proactively drive process improvements and enhance the candidate experience from application to onboarding.
  • Act as the employer brand champion by clearly communicating the company’s vision, culture, and values to attract top-tier candidates.
  • Represent the company at recruiting events, networking functions, and industry forums to elevate our market presence.
