About The Position

Ōnin Aerospace is seeking a driven, field-based Technical Recruiter to support skilled trades, technical talent, and entry-level engineering roles within their aerospace and industrial client base. This role involves being embedded in client environments, partnering directly with hiring managers and production teams to build high-performing workforces. The Technical Recruiter will serve as the recruiting expert for technical talent, making hiring decisions, engaging onsite, and building long-term relationships that drive retention and success. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy being in the field, understanding operational processes, and connecting great people to meaningful careers.

Requirements

  • 1 year of experience in recruiting, staffing, or talent acquisition preferred
  • Experience recruiting skilled trades, aerospace, aviation, or technical roles preferred
  • Strong ability to build relationships with clients, managers, and production teams
  • Comfortable working onsite in manufacturing, industrial, or technical environments
  • Confident decision maker with strong problem solving and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in ATS systems, recruiting tools, and standard office software
  • High school diploma required

Nice To Haves

  • Additional technical or recruiting certifications are a plus

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, screen, and place skilled trades, aerospace, and technical talent including mechanics, avionics, structures, and engineering support roles
  • Manage full cycle recruiting from sourcing and screening through offer, negotiation, and onboarding
  • Build strong pipelines through networking, referrals, military transition programs, and creative sourcing strategies
  • Maintain a consistent onsite presence to observe roles, support teammates, and build client trust
  • Partner with Business Managers, Unit Leaders, and clients to align recruiting with production and workforce needs
  • Conduct in-depth interviews to evaluate technical skills, safety awareness, and cultural fit
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards including FAA, DOT, and safety regulations where applicable
  • Maintain accurate documentation and track performance against recruiting metrics and scorecards
  • Serve as a trusted resource for clients, candidates, and internal teams
