About The Position

DecisionPoint Corporation is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Technical Recruiter to join our HR team and support our continued growth. In this role you’ll manage the full recruitment lifecycle—from job posting and candidate sourcing to screening, interviewing, and offer coordination. As a key partner to our hiring managers and business development team, you will work strategically to align recruiting efforts with project goals and pipeline opportunities. You’ll help shape the candidate experience and promote our employer brand across digital platforms, industry events, and networking opportunities. The ideal candidate is proactive, resourceful, and passionate about connecting people with meaningful career opportunities—especially within the fast-paced world of federal contracting and technical roles. This position is on a hybrid telecommute model requiring 2 days onsite in Reston, VA.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field highly preferred. Equivalent professional recruiting experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Technical Recruiter, preferably in a fast-paced, technical, or government contracting environment.
  • Experience recruiting for cleared positions (Secret, Top Secret, TS/SCI, etc.) within the federal contracting industry is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting candidate interviews using a variety of formats, including phone, video, and in-person.
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand, interpret, and communicate complex technical job requirements.
  • Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), with iCIMS experience preferred, as well as resume databases and sourcing platforms.
  • Proficiency in advanced sourcing techniques, including Boolean search, LinkedIn Recruiter, talent mapping, and passive candidate engagement.
  • Experience supporting remote recruiting efforts and partnering with geographically dispersed hiring managers and teams.
  • Proven ability to work independently, prioritize competing demands, and consistently deliver results in a remote work environment.
  • Strong understanding of employment laws, HR best practices, and compliance requirements related to recruiting and hiring.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, write, and publish targeted job descriptions that reflect role requirements, project goals, and company culture.
  • Identify and source high-quality candidates through diverse channels including job boards, professional networks, social media, referrals, and recruiting events.
  • Evaluate resumes with a keen eye for specialized technical skills, certifications, and experience that align with role requirements and client needs.
  • Conduct pre-screening calls and initial assessments to evaluate candidate capabilities, interest level, and cultural fit.
  • Manage and facilitate candidate interviews, using a variety of methods including structured, behavioral, and technical evaluations.
  • Collaborate with department leaders and hiring managers to understand staffing needs, project timelines, and future workforce planning.
  • Participate in and represent the company at recruiting events, career fairs, and networking functions to expand the candidate pipeline.
  • Compose and send job offers through iCIMS, ensuring details are accurate and aligned.
  • Support Business Development efforts by contributing to proposal staffing plans, reviewing labor categories, and aligning recruiting strategies with pipeline opportunities.
