About The Position

This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. As part of a diverse and hardworking team of experts you will directly work with program and operations stakeholders and partners, to ensure successful new product introduction and sustainable rate for the New Glenn 9x4 Orbital launch vehicle. This position will support all aspects of project management to include cost, schedule, technical design, and risk management as well as working with company’s internal organizations and suppliers. Requirements

  • Excellent written and communication skills in technical work environments
  • Expert Experience in project management in a technical environment

  • Experience with Microsoft Project and balancing internal and external schedules

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
  • 4-5 yrs experience required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in manufacturing engineering in the aerospace industry
  • Experience working with various fabrication vendors
  • Experience with assembly and integration of spacecraft/launch vehicles
  • Experience with CAD and PLM software
  • Working familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, and/or other team collaboration software tools

Responsibilities

  • End-to-end ownership of artifacts required to take assigned Work Centers from design to sustained production in partnership with Subject Matter Experts.
  • Create and use standard formats for data aggregation and reporting to executive leadership on readiness, escalations, help needs, and wins.
  • Track design release, Make/Buy parts, all required tooling, template work orders, non-conformances, and anything required for timely Production start and sustainment in coordination with responsible functions.
  • Support the SMEs during the build.
  • Partner with engineering hardware design teams, manufacturing engineering, supply chain, suppliers, and program leadership to ensure the timely delivery of critical flight and R&D hardware including (but not limited to) budget, engineering schedules, procurement schedules, supplier schedules, and program management status reports.
  • Communicate risks and risk abatement plans to management.
  • Transition products from concept, to development phase.
