About The Position

The Technical Program Manager plans and directs design and technical engineers working on projects, and manages the development, implementation, and evaluation of complex designs. The role oversees large, complex programs with multiple workstreams and interdependencies, including accelerated compute and AI programs. The position leads global, cross-functional teams and coordinates program scope, schedules, resources, budgets, risks, governance, and stakeholder communication. It also drives program outcomes across cost, quality, schedule, features, fulfillment and continuity of supply, solution delivery, and customer-specific needs. This is a remote position with travel as necessary; candidates near specified U.S. locations or major airports may be considered. Duties are performed in a normal office environment and may involve extended sitting, sustained visual concentration, and frequent repetitive computer-related movements.

Requirements

Typically 8–12 years of experience.
Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong project management skills, including scope definition, resource allocation, scheduling, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
Good understanding of accelerated compute and AI technologies sufficient to communicate with technical teams and understand project requirements.
Effective communication skills, including the ability to translate technical information for non-technical stakeholders and clearly communicate program updates, issues, schedule impacts, and financial impacts to leadership.
Strategic thinking, including consideration of organizational goals, scalability, sustainability, and future technology advancements.
Risk management skills for identifying and proactively mitigating risks in fast-moving, interdependent technology programs.
Leadership skills to inspire and motivate multidisciplinary teams, foster collaboration, and resolve conflicts.
Adaptability to evolving AI technologies, methodologies, and project requirements.
Financial acumen, including budgeting, resource allocation, and understanding the financial implications of AI projects.

Responsibilities

Manage multiple high-visibility, high-complexity programs and their constituent projects.
Lead global, cross-functional program core teams, kick off programs, establish schedules, and drive meetings.
Present program status and communicate with and influence business leaders and customers.
Lead or develop company-wide, cross-functional, or complex process initiatives and business strategy.
Coach program core team members and identify opportunities for their development.
Review and interpret customer specifications and provide customer feedback.
Coordinate site-wide deployment efforts.
Implement changes through the product lifecycle process and recommend process improvements.
Plan programs, monitor progress, and drive the creation, review, approval, and updating of program plans and work breakdown structures, including resources.
Manage programs day to day and drive core teams to meet or exceed objectives for cost, quality, schedule, features, fulfillment and continuity of supply, solution delivery, and customer-specific needs.
Define program governance and controls.
Manage program budgets and forecast actual income or revenue, cost, labor, and expenses against plans or quotes.
Manage risks and issues and take corrective action.
Coordinate projects and their interdependencies, and manage and use resources across projects.
Align deliverables with program outcomes with the aid of the business change manager.
Manage principal program documentation, such as the Program Initiation document.
