About The Position

Meta is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead the transformation of a major surface of its infrastructure software stack as the stack evolves to support agent-based use and the demands of modern training, inference, and application development. The role partners closely with Engineering and Product leadership to shape platform technical roadmaps, guide the design and rollout of platform interfaces, and drive end-to-end delivery and adoption by partner teams. The position operates autonomously on ambiguous, cross-organizational challenges, converting strategic questions into actionable programs and setting a high standard for technical program management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in software, systems, or hardware engineering, or technical product/program management.
  • Experience delivering technical programs or products from inception through delivery.
  • Knowledge of user needs assessment, requirements gathering, and scope definition.
  • Experience working autonomously across multiple teams, demonstrating critical thinking and thought leadership.
  • Experience communicating and collaborating with technical management teams to develop systems, solutions, and products.
  • Experience organizing, coordinating, and prioritizing competing workstreams.
  • Experience applying analytical thinking and problem-solving to large-scale systems.
  • Experience establishing and maintaining working relationships across multidisciplinary teams and with partners in multiple time zones.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience partnering with large internal customer organizations to migrate them onto a shared platform.
  • Ongoing AI skill development, such as prompt/context engineering or agent orchestration, and staying current with emerging AI technologies.
  • Experience supporting AI/ML infrastructure, including training, inference serving, or related software layers.
  • Experience defining and driving developer or platform effectiveness metrics.
  • Experience implementing responsible, ethical AI practices, such as risk assessment, bias mitigation, and quality and accuracy reviews.
  • Experience building or operating agent-facing platforms, tooling, or APIs, including agent orchestration and evaluation.
  • Ability to integrate AI tools to optimize or redesign workflows and achieve measurable impact, such as efficiency gains or quality improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Own technical program management for a core area of Meta's infrastructure software stack, spanning platform strategy, technical design, delivery, and partner adoption.
  • Partner with Engineering and Product to define multi-quarter roadmaps, shape feature plans, participate substantively in technical and API/interface design reviews, and make tradeoff recommendations for leadership.
  • Drive platform adoption end to end by defining partner onboarding, removing integration friction, and maintaining a strong partner experience from evaluation through production use.
  • Translate the needs of internal customer organizations into platform requirements and facilitate prioritization discussions.
  • Define and instrument platform success metrics, including adoption, reliability, efficiency, and developer/agent effectiveness, and use them to guide decisions.
  • Lead technical discussions and contribute as a thought leader in program and design reviews; partner with engineering leaders on complex problems.
  • Identify and solve systemic cross-organizational problems and create lightweight operational processes that accelerate team momentum.
  • Assess and mitigate risks and manage change across concurrent technical programs.
  • Communicate technical vision, requirements, goals, and milestones to stakeholders, including VP-level leadership.
  • Provide hands-on program management across design, development, testing, rollout, and post-launch phases.
  • Mentor other technical program managers and influence TPM practices across the organization.
