About The Position

Vultr is hiring a Senior Technical Program Manager within its Engineering organization to lead the end-to-end turn-up, onboarding, and validation of data center infrastructure, from physical installation through production readiness. The role coordinates delivery of compute, networking, storage, and GPU infrastructure, ensuring high-performance platforms are delivered on time, stable, and optimized. The position drives infrastructure program execution, coordinates cross-functional engineering teams, improves deployment automation and reliability, and works with engineering to scope and deploy custom client-requested architectures. It also serves as the main engineering contact for strategic customer technical teams and aligns delivery with business commitments.

Requirements

  • 10+ years leading large-scale infrastructure deployments, cloud or data center turn-ups, or technical program lifecycles.
  • Demonstrated software development lifecycle (SDLC) expertise.
  • Technical familiarity with AI accelerators such as NVIDIA and AMD, high-speed GPU interconnects, and cluster topologies.
  • Strong knowledge of data center networks, including BGP and leaf-spine architectures, Linux systems, and distributed storage.
  • Proven ability to manage complex dependencies, implement validation testing, and meet strict deadlines.
  • Ability to create structure amid uncertainty, identify bottlenecks early, and drive solutions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to align cross-functional teams and leadership.
  • Analytical mindset and ability to use metrics to track program health and drive decisions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or master's degree.
  • PMP, PgMP, or equivalent certification.

Responsibilities

  • Drive end-to-end infrastructure execution from hardware power-on to production readiness, coordinating timelines for automated provisioning, compute, storage, and networking.
  • Coordinate deployment of operating systems, firmware, BIOS configurations, hypervisors, and cluster management software onto new server fleets.
  • Coordinate Software Engineering, Network Engineering, Storage Engineering, Server Fleet & Automation, Bare Metal, Orchestration, Security, Platform, and Infrastructure Operations teams.
  • Unblock technical issues, align delivery schedules, track critical-path dependencies, and manage engineering risks.
  • Partner with engineering to improve cluster turn-up reliability, repeatability, and automation, reducing time to serve new capacity.
  • Identify deployment-pipeline bottlenecks and systemic gaps, and drive durable fixes in tooling, processes, and software.
  • Partner with engineering to scope, test, and deploy custom, client-requested infrastructure architectures.
  • Convert unique client requirements into repeatable, standardized product offerings and automated delivery frameworks.
  • Collaborate with developers to define technical requirements, review architectural designs, and deliver backend features that support platform stability and scalability.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for engineering requirements with strategic customer technical teams.
  • Work with Infrastructure Operations, Solutions, Product, and Customer Success to align technical delivery with business commitments.
