In this role, you will lead the development, qualification, optimization, and production ramp of new process technology and equipment for the manufacturing of Apple"s newest Audio and Home products. This is a hands-on position where your deep technical expertise and strong leadership will directly shape the future of our industry-leading devices. As a Technical Project Manager for Audio, you will sit at the intersection of engineering and manufacturing, ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field with 5+ years of work experience.
  • Track record of supporting new product launches through to mass production from a mechanical, system engineering, or product development perspective.
  • Proficiency in mechanical assembly fixtures and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English.
  • Background in testing methodologies and frameworks.
  • Deep understanding of Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design of Experiments (DOE), and Statistical Process Control (SPC) techniques.
  • Knowledge of precise assembly processes, including electrically conductive adhesives or specialized glue applications.
  • Familiarity with mobile device architecture and consumer electronics manufacturing.
  • Aptitude for structured problem-solving methodologies to identify root causes and implement corrective and preventative actions.
  • Capability in massive data analysis, coding, or machine learning applications within a manufacturing context.

Responsibilities

  • Guide new product engineering builds and act as a critical technical bridge between Apple's internal engineering teams and external vendors.
  • Establish strategic directions and key measurement systems to ensure manufacturing processes, yield goals, and product integrity consistently meet business objectives.
  • Drive new product engineering builds and review production processes and fixtures from a manufacturing perspective.
  • Execute strategic goals and implement key measurement systems to track process, yield, and overall product quality across all audit points.
  • Resolve critical manufacturing and technical hot issues swiftly during production ramps.
  • Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and control systems across various functional manufacturing areas.
  • Act as the primary technical liaison between Apple engineering teams and external vendors.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of global processes, test procedures, quality controls, and BOM management systems.
