•$105,860 - $183,253

About The Position

LMI is seeking a Technical Product Manager to lead a secure cloud platform supporting Department of War mission partners. The platform combines an AWS GovCloud environment, a DevSecOps delivery pipeline, and a unified front end providing access to multiple products, applications, and solutions. The Product Manager owns the product vision, roadmap, backlog, user experience priorities, and delivery of platform capabilities that meet mission needs. This product-focused leadership role requires a technical background and demonstrated AWS GovCloud experience. The Product Manager works directly with government users, platform engineers, software developers, designers, and cybersecurity personnel to prioritize work, resolve dependencies, and deliver usable capabilities. Limited team administration, including timesheet approval and basic personnel management, supports the primary product responsibilities. Candidates must reside in the Fort Bragg, North Carolina area or be willing and able to travel there up to 50% of the time. Local candidates must be available for recurring on-site engagement with customers and technical teams. An active Secret security clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret are required. Classified duties must be performed at approved facilities.

Requirements

  • Active Secret security clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, engineering, information systems, information technology, or a related discipline.
  • At least five years of relevant experience in technical product management, software delivery, platform engineering, cloud engineering, or a related technical field, including ownership of product priorities and delivery outcomes.
  • Hands-on technical experience in software development, cloud or platform engineering, DevSecOps, or systems integration, with the ability to interpret architectures, interfaces, deployment workflows, and technical tradeoffs.
  • Professional experience delivering or supporting workloads in AWS GovCloud, with knowledge of identity and access management, virtual networking, compute, storage, logging, and environment separation. Commercial AWS experience or certification alone does not satisfy this requirement.
  • Experience leading product discovery, roadmap development, backlog prioritization, requirements definition, release planning, and acceptance of delivered software or platform capabilities.
  • Practical understanding of DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines, including source control, automated testing, security scanning, artifacts, deployment approvals, and rollback.
  • Experience delivering, integrating, or sustaining government IT systems, including coordination with government customers, security stakeholders, and technical teams.
  • Working knowledge of cloud-hosted applications, containers, APIs, identity integration, and shared platform services, with the ability to connect infrastructure decisions to application functionality and user experience.
  • Ability to coordinate technical teams and product stakeholders, communicate priorities and tradeoffs, and support routine team supervision and timesheet approval.
  • Residence in the Fort Bragg, North Carolina area with availability for recurring on-site engagement, or willingness and ability to travel to the area up to 50% of the time.

Nice To Haves

  • Master of Science degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, cybersecurity, technology management, or a related discipline.
  • Experience delivering IT capabilities for Special Operations Forces (SOF) organizations and working directly with SOF mission users.
  • Experience leading an internal developer platform, shared cloud platform, or integrated application environment with a common user interface and multiple application teams.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service, infrastructure as code, GitLab, Terraform, Helm, or comparable platform and delivery technologies.
  • Experience working with UI/UX teams on shared design systems, role-based workspaces, application portals, and user adoption.
  • Familiarity with DoD networks, Risk Management Framework activities, Authority to Operate processes, and delivery across classified and unclassified environments.
  • Relevant AWS, technical product management, product ownership, or Agile professional certification.

Responsibilities

  • Own the platform product vision, roadmap, and prioritized backlog, aligning releases and longer-term capabilities with government mission needs and LMI priorities.
  • Lead discovery with users, application owners, and technical stakeholders; translate needs into requirements, epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and measurable outcomes.
  • Prioritize work across cloud infrastructure, DevSecOps automation, application onboarding, shared services, cybersecurity, reliability, and user experience, and make tradeoffs clear to stakeholders.
  • Lead product planning for the unified front end, working with UI/UX designers and developers on common navigation, application discovery, role-based access, and consistent workflows.
  • Partner with platform and engineering leads to evaluate AWS GovCloud architecture, networking, identity, integration, and deployment options and turn technical decisions into executable product work.
  • Drive improvements to the DevSecOps pipeline, including build, test, security scanning, artifact management, approval workflows, environment promotion, deployment, and rollback.
  • Define repeatable application onboarding requirements and coordinate APIs, identity, data interfaces, configuration, documentation, and support expectations with application owners.
  • Lead backlog refinement, sprint and release planning, demonstrations, and product reviews; resolve dependencies and adjust priorities based on delivery evidence and customer feedback.
  • Define release objectives and acceptance criteria, validate delivered capabilities with users, and coordinate readiness with engineering, operations, and cybersecurity teams.
  • Integrate authorization dependencies, security findings, technical debt, reliability improvements, and sustainment needs into the roadmap with cybersecurity and engineering leads.
  • Track product adoption, user satisfaction, application onboarding time, deployment lead time, and platform reliability; use findings to prioritize improvements.
  • Maintain product documentation, release notes, roadmap updates, and decision records; brief customers and LMI leadership on outcomes, risks, dependencies, and recommended actions.
  • Coordinate assigned LMI personnel, including onboarding, workload alignment, leave coordination, coaching, and performance feedback in partnership with functional leaders.
  • Review and approve assigned personnel timesheets in accordance with LMI procedures and coordinate routine staffing and administrative actions with program leadership and Human Resources.
