About The Position

DAT Freight & Analytics is hiring a Senior Product Manager for its Auth Team, which owns the identity, authentication, and authorization platform used across DAT products. This is a platform-building role serving internal product teams building web and mobile applications as well as external users who log in to those applications. The role partners with engineering to standardize auth building blocks, libraries, APIs, access tokens, and testing patterns, making them well-documented and straightforward for other teams to adopt correctly. The position plans and drives execution from requirements through launch and helps shape a strategy for consolidating customer identity across DAT's recently acquired product offerings while ensuring a scalable technical architecture. It reports into the Engineering Identity Team and works closely with Platform Engineering, Product Design, and Security. DAT is a SaaS technology company focused on freight and logistics, operating North America's largest freight marketplace. The company has nearly 700 teammates across offices in Denver, Portland, Seattle, Springfield, Toronto, and Bangalore. The role has a hybrid work environment. For Washington-based candidates, the stated salary range is $138,160–$184,919.

  • Working knowledge of software platform development, including API and library design for internal consumers.
  • Working knowledge of identity and access management concepts, SSO, MFA, authentication versus authorization, and token types sufficient to discuss trade-offs credibly with engineering.
  • Strong ability to gather requirements, reduce ambiguity, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences in writing and verbally.
  • Demonstrated execution rigor, including shipping features with urgency and quality and actively contributing to roadmap discussions.
  • Fluency with product and platform metrics; ability to read dashboards, identify appropriate success metrics, and build basic views independently or with support from data/analytics.
  • Ability to connect day-to-day execution to broader strategy and explain how roadmap choices support DAT's long-term goals.
