USAFacts is a nonpartisan, not-for-profit organization that turns data from thousands of jurisdictions into clear, unbiased information about government spending and outcomes. The Technical Product Manager Intern will work with product and engineering teams to help transform complex government data into accurate, complete, and consistent insights for the USAFacts flagship website. The internship provides hands-on experience across the data lifecycle, including data integration and preparation, reporting, dashboards, visualizations, and responsible use of AI to accelerate work and automate workflows. This is a paid, full-time summer internship intended for students in the penultimate year of undergraduate study. It lasts at least 10 weeks, with start and end dates flexible between May and September to accommodate school schedules. The position is based in Bellevue, Washington, with an intentional hybrid schedule: in-office Tuesdays through Thursdays, while Mondays and Fridays are flexible for remote or office work. The role is non-exempt and pays $33 per hour. Interns are overtime eligible, with hours over 40 per week paid at time and a half. Interns are not eligible for the company’s standard benefits package, but receive the specific paid time off, housing, and transportation support described in the posting. USAFacts cannot coordinate academic credit through a student’s school. Relocating interns receive company-paid furnished corporate housing and a $1,000 travel reimbursement. Local interns who do not need corporate housing may be reimbursed up to $2,000 per month for housing costs with a current rental agreement. Interns also receive three paid sick days and paid holidays during the internship, an ORCA card for local public transit or paid parking in or near the building, and provided lunches on in-office days. The program includes cohort activities, organization-wide events, team outings, a dedicated intern morale budget, and the opportunity to present projects and accomplishments to USAFacts founder Steve Ballmer and other organizational leaders. USAFacts requires employees to refrain from political activity that could compromise the organization’s impartiality, including political donations and volunteering for or publicly supporting political candidates, parties, or campaigns. Employees are also expected to avoid expressing partisan views on public platforms where they are identifiable as affiliated with USAFacts.
