Raytheon’s Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) Surface Radars & Sensors Center is seeking a Strategic Extended Threat Shield (SETS) Radar Technical Manual Developer and Illustrator, and play a key role in advancing cutting-edge defense technology. In this exciting role, you’ll showcase your expertise by creating high-quality illustrations that are critical to the development of comprehensive Technical Manuals (TMs) for the innovative SETS Radar System. Collaborating closely with a talented team of writers and illustrators, you will contribute to the creation of operational and maintenance manuals that support the functionality and success of this advanced defense system. Requirements

  • Typically requires A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
  • Experience with Acrobat Pro, Photoshop, Creo View and/or other editing tool programs.
  • Experience with engineering schematics and/or drawings.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Active and existing security clearance required after day 1

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with the Eagle Publishing System, MIL Standard 40051 or S1000D.
  • Experience with XML and Common PDM.
  • Experience working in a cross-functional team, with a strong ability to communicate effectively within a geographically dispersed team.
  • Agile mindset with the ability to pivot when circumstances change, or direction is set.
  • Basis experience with 3D modeling applications

Responsibilities

  • Development of data content and illustrations for the Technical Manuals, including material addressing System functional theory Operations Preventive and corrective maintenance, schematics and illustrated parts breakdowns from compiled engineering technical reports, drawings, and parts lists.
