About The Position

In this part-time role, you will utilize your industry expertise and understanding of apprenticeship standards and assessment plans to advise and support the apprenticeship delivery team, admissions, apprentices, and employers. You will be responsible for ensuring apprentices effectively record the Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviours from their work experience. You will support the development and delivery of targeted on-programme support, including completing desktop evidence reviews for apprentices to support their preparation for the End Point Assessments (EPA). You will be involved in employer vetting and training to ensure the University admits the right students on the right programmes, to ensure timely completion of the apprenticeship.

Requirements

GCSE Maths and English language Grade C or 4 or above
Degree level qualification
Professional Membership of CIOB and/or CABE
Extensive built environment industry experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to motivate and support apprentices and employers
Ability to work independently, flexibly and quickly to identify risk
Effective time management and organisational skills with a strong attention to detail
Ability to work to deadlines and manage competing priorities in a busy working environment
Ability to work collaboratively to achieve team and organisational goals
Digital skills confidence: MS Office (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and several other systems/technology
Commitment to delivering positive outcomes for students
Prepared to undertake mandatory online training (safeguarding, Prevent, anti-harassment and bullying)

Responsibilities

Review apprentice portfolio completion and evidence submission, complete desktop reviews of portfolio progress and provide regular updates to the apprentice, employer representative, and Apprenticeship Outcomes Officer (AOO).
Provide technical and specialist support for University teams and external stakeholders in relation to EPA.
Support the development of the portfolio of evidence and achievement of apprenticeship standards.
Provide information, advice and guidance for the apprentice’s workplace mentor and/or employer as requested by the AOO via progress reviews.
Provide 1 to 1 support (on AOO request) for apprentices deemed at risk to ensure timely completion of the apprenticeship.
Report any deviance from End Point Assessment plans to the relevant AOO/AOM to instigate remedial actions.
Conduct the final gateway desktop review and feedback ahead of the final EPA submission.
Work in partnership with other Technical Managers to improve the service and apprentice experience.
Provide 1 to 1 support for unsuccessful apprentices as requested by the EPA manager.
