Washburn University Institute of Technology seeks applications for a Technical Instructor for the Information Systems Technology program. This is a 10-month, full-time position with benefits. This position is expected to work Monday – Friday, 7:30 am – 4:00 pm. Course delivery is in-person on campus. Two instructor positions are currently available for the Information Systems Technology program. A Year One Instructor and a Year Two Instructor. The Year One Instructor is responsible for teaching a hands-on introduction to the inner workings of computers, including hardware, operating systems, directory services, cybersecurity, web services, LAN/WAN technologies, and messaging services. The Year Two Instructor is responsible for teaching advanced networking concepts, including network architecture, structure, functions, components, and models, as well as the troubleshooting, maintenance, and scaling of networking devices and WAN technologies. Each selected candidate will have a demonstrated commitment to pursuing teaching excellence at Washburn University, including a dedication to developing inclusive teaching practices that engage all learners.
