About The Position

The Technical Director is responsible for providing technical sales support for the NRGMax™ technology and specialty Oil & Gas products containing NRGMax™. This role requires O&G chemistry and chemical application knowledge in Completions, Production, and Water Treating, with knowledge in Midstream and Downstream chemical segments being a plus. The Technical Director will write lab and field test protocols, oversee the effectiveness of NRGMax™, and engage with potential customers to collaborate on positive outcomes. This position will also assist the O&G sales team in preparing presentations and actively participate in customer-facing technical meetings. A key aspect of the role is identifying new chemical solutions for BPSOG to bring to market, driving market acceptance, and leveraging their existing network to generate additional sales pipeline.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year University or College (Chemistry or related field preferred).
  • Experience in oilfield related applications and chemistries.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Applications: Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, etc.
  • Proficiency in Google Sheets.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge in the Midstream and Downstream chemical segments.
  • General knowledge of backbone chemistries such as surfactants.

Responsibilities

  • Identify specialty O&G chemical solutions and formulations enhanced by NRGMax™ for in-house manufacturing.
  • Collaborate with BPS Tech to create new formulations.
  • Work with direct sales and BPSOG leadership to generate and submit business cases for new product commercialization.
  • Identify applications for NRGMax™ in areas such as Acid Promoters, completion surfactants, friction reducers, emulsion breakers, scale/corrosion inhibitors, biocides, dispersants for oilfield production, scavengers and drag reducers for midstream applications, and cooling tower, boiler, and waste water treatments in downstream applications.
  • Provide technical support for existing specialty applications.
  • Submit lab testing requests, define scope and requirements for testing, and serve as a liaison between the lab and field sales.
  • Conduct industry-standard field testing to verify customer conditions and product performance.
  • Assist in building the sales pipeline for specialty products.
  • Support and participate in customer and prospect meetings, both in-person and remotely.
  • Create and support the development of content for white papers, brochures, and sales presentations.
  • Identify new value propositions for existing chemical solutions and applications.
  • Engage in the oil and gas market to stay current on trends and innovations.
  • Support the development of competitive intelligence related to other chemical companies or solutions.
  • Create and support the development of content for marketing activities and campaigns.
  • Attend industry conferences relevant to the Company's goals and objectives.
  • Conduct quarterly training for sales, marketing, and technical roles.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
