About The Position

The SEME Technical Director will support the design, development, integration, and evolution of the Segregated Enterprise Mission Environment (SEME), an enterprise-wide, cloud-enabled warfighting environment built to be data-centric, automated, transport agnostic, and highly secure. This role will lead complex product engineering activities across tactical edge, cloud, network, subsystem, and mission integration efforts. The Technical Director will work closely with government stakeholders, engineering teams, mission partners, and operational users to translate real-world mission needs into technical requirements, architectures, and deployable solutions. The ideal candidate has experience leading engineering teams in Agile and DevSecOps environments, integrating cloud and edge technologies, supporting mission networks, and delivering secure, resilient capabilities in operationally constrained environments, including Denied, Degraded, Intermittent, and Limited bandwidth conditions.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in systems engineering, computer engineering, software engineering, or network engineering
  • Experience supporting complex systems engineering or product engineering activities
  • Experience with Tactical Mission Network
  • Experience with DevOps, Agile development, virtualization, Model-Based Systems Engineering, GitLab, and subsystem integration
  • Experience working with cloud, edge, mobile, or enterprise frameworks and platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, Kubernetes, Cloudflare, MaaS360, Android, Compass servers or mission or server environments, TAK, ATAK, WINTAK, Server, or TRAX
  • Ability to work independently and lead technical activities with minimal supervision
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with programming or scripting languages, including C+, C++, Python, Golang, JavaScript, or TypeScript
  • Experience integrating unmanned systems, including UAS, UGV, USV, or UUV platforms
  • Experience with automation tools such as ansible, terraform, bices, or CFT
  • Experience with secure system design, zero trust concepts, identity and access management, or cross-domain and coalition data-sharing environments
  • Knowledge of software design patterns and modern software architecture principles
  • Possession of strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Possession of strong written and verbal communication skills
