This position serves as a nationally recognized expert in control systems cybersecurity and intelligence-related topics. The role provides strategic insight, technical expertise, and consulting to advance CIC capabilities. The Technical Development Advisor will lead project teams delivering high-impact, sensitive national security work, and develop and execute strategic engagement plans aligned with CIC and N&HS directorate priorities. This role involves building trusted relationships with USG partners, marketing INL expertise, and translating needs into actionable agreements. The advisor will identify emerging customer needs, guide long-term R&D investment strategies, and facilitate productive interactions with stakeholders through planning meetings, visits, and formal collaborations. The position is responsible for managing and growing new research and business areas across DoW, IC, and homeland security sectors. Communication of complex technical subjects to both technical and non-technical audiences is essential, as is mentoring junior staff to cultivate an expert workforce. The role also requires coordinating across DOE laboratories, FFRDCs, and external partners to support acquisition and cybersecurity programs.
