About The Position

GovCIO is seeking a motivated Technical Coordinator to support programs serving the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). This role is ideal for a developing professional who is comfortable in fast-paced environments and eager to grow their experience working with government stakeholders, supporting program execution, and contributing to mission-critical initiatives. This position is fully remote withing the continental United States.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required (or commensurate experience).
  • 5 years of program or project management experience, preferably supporting federal government clients.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and willingness to learn in dynamic situations.
  • Basic understanding of federal contracting environments and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Suitability/Public Trust clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with the Department of Veterans Affairs or other federal agencies is a plus.
  • Experience supporting programs with cybersecurity, information assurance, or compliance components.
  • Familiarity with NIST frameworks, ATO processes, or federal security requirements.
  • Experience working with cross-functional or technical teams.
  • Professional and dependable, with a positive and solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive in managing assigned responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Support program leadership in managing activities across one or more workstreams within VA programs.
  • Serve as a point of contact for stakeholders, building strong working relationships and ensuring clear, consistent communication.
  • Assist in coordinating program activities, tracking deliverables, and ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and quality expectations.
  • Help identify risks, issues, and dependencies; support development and execution of mitigation plans.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and internal teams as required to ensure timely and compliant delivery of work.
  • Contribute to program reporting, including preparing status updates, briefings, and documentation for leadership.
  • Participate in cross-functional team efforts, supporting collaboration and accountability across stakeholders.
  • Assist with maintaining compliance with contractual, regulatory, and cybersecurity requirements.
  • Support internal program operations, including staffing coordination, documentation, and process improvements.
