About The Position

As a Technical Consultant at Vertafore, you will implement technical configurations and deliver tailored solutions to clients’ business challenges. You will work across Customer Support, Account Management, Professional Services, and Product Management to guide clients through their experience and help meet their needs. The role focuses on technical implementation details, developing tools and processes to address complex problems, and applying deep product knowledge to unique customer scenarios and best practices. The position is WFH flexible and requires travel up to 10% of the time.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a computer-related field.
At least 3 years of experience in the B2B software industry.
At least 3 years in a technical configuration or QA role.
Programming experience in at least one development language.
Fluent in web coding languages, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Technical knowledge of configuration syntax such as JSON or YAML.
Experience editing and creating PDF files.
Experience with Microsoft Excel, including advanced features and formulas.
Experience using or working with enterprise B2B software.
Experience with a template language such as Jinja2.
Knowledge of APIs and experience with Postman.
Knowledge of API authentication mechanisms such as OAuth, API tokens, and Basic Auth.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Willingness to learn new technologies and experiment with innovation.
Self-starter who is detail-oriented, quick to learn, deadline-driven, and able to manage shifting priorities.
Strategic problem solver with excellent analytical and critical-thinking skills.

Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

Configure the Surefyre platform using HTML, JavaScript, and JSON to meet customer needs.
Build JSON-based forms using the drag-and-drop form builder and make advanced edits to JSON schemas.
Write Python scripts to support customer data migrations, imports, exports, and advanced configuration.
Assist with integrations to third-party systems using REST and SOAP APIs.
Set up Excel-based worksheets to support calculations in the Surefyre platform.
Collaborate with Product and Engineering to drive product changes that simplify configuration tasks.
Work with Engineering on technical configurations, including advanced integrations.
Partner with Professional Services to understand customer project requirements and needed changes to Surefyre instances.
Reproduce and help resolve configuration issues experienced by customers.
Document changes made to customer instances.
