About The Position

We are FlightHub Group, an ambitious team of people that created FlightHub and Justfly. Our brands have grown to become two of the top-ranked travel agencies in North America. We now serve over 3 million customers per year, generating more than 3 billion dollars in sales, and we continue to grow stronger year over year. We dream big, pursue passionately, and follow through with resolute self-belief and rigorous commitment. We are a group of individuals sharing a common vision and values, having come together to pursue a collective mission: overtaking the #1 spot in the world. We are looking for a highly motivated Technical Business Analyst. This role is critical in ensuring the quality and reliability of our hotel product platform. The ideal candidate is a highly responsible, technical, and versatile person who thrives in a fast-paced environment, works well under pressure, and is eager to continuously learn and grow. You aren’t just documenting requirements; you are a "Systems Detective" who bridges the gap between high-level product goals and the granular reality of our API integrations. You will own the "How" and the "Why," spending your time tracing complex data mismatches and drafting the technical strategy to solve them.

Requirements

  • SQL Mastery: You don't just "know" SQL; you are comfortable with complex joins, CTEs, and window functions to find the needle in the haystack.
  • API Fluency: You speak REST and JSON. You understand headers, payloads, and status codes, and you can navigate 200-page API docs to find the one field we’re underutilizing.
  • Systems Thinking: You can visualize how data flows through multiple services and understand how a change in Service A might create a ripple effect in Service C.
  • Technical Diplomacy: You have the ability to explain a dense technical error to a partner or stakeholder in a way that is clear, accurate, and professional.
  • AI Literacy: You are an expert at asking the right questions. You know how to provide an AI with the right context and schema to generate accurate scripts and solutions.
  • Obsession with Accuracy: You take pride in being the source of truth. You double-check your findings because you know the team relies on your data to make big decisions.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic Coding/Scripting: Experience reading code or writing basic Python/JavaScript to automate manual tasks.
  • Analytical Background: A degree in Engineering, Math, or a similar logic-heavy field (or equivalent experience).
  • Growth Mindset: You want to be a Technical Product Manager. You see technical debugging as the best way to learn the guts of a product before you start leading its strategy.
  • Tooling: Familiarity with Jira, Google Tag Manager (GTM), or data visualization tools (Tableau/Looker/Superset).

Responsibilities

  • System Root Cause Analysis: Take "vague" problems, like a pricing mismatch or a booking failure, and trace them through logs and database records until you find the exact point of failure.
  • API & Partner Liaison: Act as our technical diplomat. You will dive deep into partner API documentation, identify logic collisions, and communicate fixes directly to their engineering teams.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Write and maintain advanced SQL queries to monitor daily metrics, identify user behavior trends, and catch system errors before they impact the customer.
  • Technical Verification & Testing: Act as the final gatekeeper for accuracy. You will partner with QA to define test scenarios for complex edge cases, conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) on new API integrations, and verify that pricing logic and GTM tags are firing exactly as intended.
  • Translate Complexity: Turn complex technical problems into clear process diagrams for our business leaders and technical specifications for our developers.
  • AI-Augmented Execution: Use LLMs as a force multiplier to write scripts for data analysis, automate testing, and accelerate your investigation process.
  • Product Evolution: Assist in defining KPIs, conducting user testing, and managing GTM (Google Tag Manager) implementations. As you master the system, you will take on increased ownership of your own product features.

Benefits

  • You will be working directly with a Senior PM in a startup-style environment within a billion-dollar company. There is no red tape here, just complex problems and the tools you need to solve them. This role is a launchpad; we will teach you the product strategy and user empathy needed to eventually lead your own product team.
