Bell Textron Canada Ltd. The CH146 is Canada’s largest helicopter fleet, its most deployed asset, and is used in multiple roles across the country. Requirements

  • Diploma in aircraft maintenance or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of technical experience in aircraft maintenance, design, manufacturing, or technical publications.
  • Proven experience in a military support service contract environment.
  • Excellent ability to interpret and analyze technical documents such as drawings, specifications, and standards.
  • In-depth knowledge of processes related to aircraft maintenance and engineering.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage priorities effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to present complex technical information to senior executives and clients.
  • Functional proficiency in both French and English, written and spoken.
  • Any other combination of education and experience deemed equivalent may be considered.
  • The incumbent must obtain and maintain NATO Secret security clearance issued by the Industrial Security Program of Public Services and Procurement Canada and BTCL security officers.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth analyses of maintenance and engineering issues reported by BTCL members and/or the Department of National Defence (DND) regarding the CH146.
  • Participate in the review of design modifications for the 412 model (ECR and ECO) to assess their applicability and impact on the CH146.
  • Evaluate and coordinate necessary actions to implement approved design modifications (or design projects) affecting the CH146, including: Approved maintenance programs, Technical publications, Spare parts inventory, Manufacturing processes, Training requirements.
  • Support the annual review of CH146 system obsolescence and actively participate in the annual CH146 obsolescence working group.
  • Attend periodic aircraft logistics system follow-up meetings with the client, acting as BTCL’s technical subject matter expert.
  • Effectively coordinate the sharing of technical information between BTCL departments, the CH146 Weapon System Manager (WSM), as well as suppliers and subcontractors.
