Tech Data Author - Level 2
About The Position
The Tech Data Author - Level 2 will be a Time Compliance Technical Directive (TCTD) author on the F-35 Joint-Service Technical Data (JTD) team. This role involves coordinating with the F-35 engineering community to determine modification/retrofit tasks associated with engineering changes. The author will analyze engineering data, compile necessary parts lists, and author TCTDs with clear, step-by-step instructions for aircraft/equipment modification and Modification Kit Parts Listings (MKPL). Collaboration with graphic artists for illustrations and providing technical support to maintainers during verification events are also key aspects of the role.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in aircraft maintenance, modification, and/or project management.
- Demonstrated experience reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings and process specifications.
- Demonstrated experience utilizing Microsoft Office suite (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Must be a US Citizen for security clearance consideration.

- Familiarity / direct experience with and using SGML/XML, SGML/XML Authoring
- Removal, installation, and inspection of aircraft components
- F-35 Engineering and Logistics systems experience (JDL - JSF Data Library, PDM - Product Data Manager, QAD - Quality Assurance Document, ATLAS -Advanced Technical Logistics Applications System, VAS - Visual Augmentation System, SFM - Shop Floor Manager)
- Experience at military aircraft operational and flight test sites
Responsibilities
