About The Position

The Team Member provides exceptional customer service while supporting the daily operations of a convenience store. The role assists customers with purchases and product inquiries, operates the point-of-sale system, handles payments, stocks and rotates merchandise, maintains cleanliness, and helps ensure a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment. Duties must be performed in accordance with company policies and applicable laws and regulations. Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check in accordance with applicable laws and company hiring standards.
Basic mathematical skills, including accurately counting money and making change.
Ability to learn and operate a point-of-sale system.
Professionalism, dependability, honesty, and strong customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Availability for a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as business needs require.
Ability to stand and walk for most of the scheduled shift.
Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds independently and occasionally up to 75 pounds with assistance or appropriate equipment.
Ability to frequently bend, kneel, squat, stoop, twist, and reach above shoulder level and below the knees.
Ability to safely climb and descend ladders or step stools.
Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements associated with equipment operation, stocking, and cleaning.
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Previous retail, convenience store, grocery, food service, or customer service experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Greet customers courteously and professionally, assist with purchases, product inquiries, and concerns, and promote current promotions, fresh food offerings, and the customer loyalty program.
Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and fellow team members.
Operate the point-of-sale system and process approved cash, card, and other payment transactions accurately.
Count money, provide correct change, balance the cash drawer, maintain transaction records, and safeguard company assets.
Stock and replenish merchandise, rotate inventory, and monitor product freshness and expiration dates.
Assist with deliveries, check in vendors, and verify invoices.
Maintain clean and organized sales floors, coolers, restrooms, food service areas where applicable, employee work areas, and the exterior property, including fuel dispensers, parking areas, sidewalks, grass islands, and trash receptacles.
Notify management of maintenance concerns, equipment issues, and unsafe conditions.
Follow company safety procedures, OSHA standards, and applicable federal, state, and local safety regulations; use required PPE when applicable.
Follow procedures for cleaning chemicals, spills, fuel-related incidents, and emergencies, and promptly report injuries, accidents, hazards, or unsafe conditions.
Comply with applicable food safety, age-restricted sales, and regulatory requirements.
