About The Position

Family Farm and Home Team Members contribute to the company’s mission of providing exceptional service, products, and prices for customers’ lifestyle needs. The role supports daily store operations and appearance by stocking merchandise, placing products in back stock, recovering and assembling products, operating the cash register, and maintaining general cleanliness. Team Members assist customers in the store and through company-supported internet sites, process special orders, and perform other duties assigned by store management or company officials.

Requirements

Able to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Commitment to excellent service and customer satisfaction.
Able to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and team members.
Organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
Knowledge of basic computer systems.
Able to stand for extended periods and reach, bend, twist, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Promote the Family Farm and Home mission statement and family values.
Execute daily operational goals and priorities assigned by store management.
Use Farm Hand to receive communications and tasks from the corporate office and store management.
Greet customers entering and exiting the store and interact with them in a pleasant, positive manner.
Encourage customer enrollment in company programs, including the loyalty program, extended warranties, add-on initiative, financing, and Item of the Month.
Answer phone calls professionally and assist customers in the store and on company-supported internet sites, including processing special orders.
Use the point-of-sale system to check out customers and follow cash-handling processes and procedures.
Use On the Go to complete planograms and mass layouts in the correct locations according to the store layout.
Use Harvester to complete online customer orders.
Support and promote financing options and use current financing websites to complete customer credit inquiries.
Assist with promotional signage, price changes, clearance prices, and other in-store signage as directed.
Assist with freight, recovery, and out-of-stock processes.
Achieve passing scores on corporate store audits, assessments, and store walks.
Monitor in-store safety issues and shoplifting activity and communicate potential issues to store management.
Uphold and support company loss-prevention measures.
Operate a forklift and/or pallet jack safely and efficiently, if at least 18 years old.
Assist with building and assembling store displays, products, and fixtures.
Maintain cleanliness of the sales floor, receiving area, cash office, register area, restrooms, and break room.
Uphold merchandising, store cleanliness, and safety standards.
Assist with completing the Daily Operational Standards checklist.
Contribute to a positive working environment for all team members.
Perform other duties assigned by store management or company officials.
