About The Position

Caring Transitions of Lancaster hires part-time Team Members to support clients in Lancaster and York Counties as they transition between living situations. The work includes relocation, downsizing, and estate sales, with a focus on excellent customer service and safely and efficiently helping clients downsize, relocate, and liquidate items through online and in-person sales. Work varies from day to day and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in clients’ lives. The position offers flexible part-time work with no required or guaranteed hours. Pay starts at $16 per hour and increases to $17 per hour after a probationary period. Further opportunities with increased pay and responsibility may be available to ambitious and capable employees.

Requirements

Show compassion and respect for clients and their families.
Have strong verbal communication skills and fluency in English.
Be able to complete tasks and work in fast-paced, changing environments.
Be willing to work in cluttered and/or dirty environments.
Have excellent prioritization and organizational skills.
Be punctual and attentive to detail.
Have transportation and smartphone access for scheduling, timekeeping, and project management.
Be at least 18 years old and hold a valid driver's license.
Undergo a pre-employment background check.

Responsibilities

Work as part of a team to downsize and relocate clients and liquidate unneeded items.
Organize, pack, unpack, and resettle clients in their homes and senior living communities.
Sort items for recycling, donation, disposal, and cleanout.
Use a smartphone to create online auctions, photograph items, and describe them.
Sort, organize, research, label, and handle items for resale.
Assist buyers during on-site pickup and sales.
Follow best practices, health and safety requirements, and company guidelines.
Perform physical tasks including standing for long periods, bending, lifting up to 25 pounds, hanging items at or above 4 feet, packing and unpacking, labeling boxes, climbing stairs, and carrying supplies, items, and boxes to and from vehicles and within homes or outbuildings.
