About The Position

The Team Member is central to the Caribou Coffee experience, creating day-making experiences through exceptional guest service, handcrafted beverages, and bringing the company’s purpose and values to life. No previous experience is required. Team Members work across roles as needed, including barista and greeter, and help maintain a clean, organized, well-stocked coffeehouse. The position is based at 18444 Kenrick Avenue, Lakeville, Minnesota 55044. Compensation is $11.23–$18.71 per hour; starting pay is subject to local and state minimum-wage regulations. Physical demands include reaching, lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting and standing for 4 to 8 hours, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours. These demands may be met with or without reasonable accommodations. Duties may change, and the job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.

Requirements

Must be at least 16 years of age.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays, as needed by the coffeehouse.

Responsibilities

Deliver guest service that builds real connections through active listening, personal attention, and thoughtful interactions.
Handcraft beverages and prepare food according to standard recipes, customizing orders to guest preferences.
Move between barista, greeter, and other roles as needed during a shift.
Take orders and manage the cash drawer accurately, following cash-handling, safety, and security standards.
Keep the coffeehouse clean, organized, and well-stocked in accordance with quality and safety standards.
Anticipate the needs of guests and teammates and take action without waiting to be asked.
Make recommendations based on product knowledge.
Resolve problems when appropriate and seek support from a leader when needed.
Take direction from leaders while balancing multiple priorities.
Arrive on time and ready for scheduled shifts, maintaining reliable attendance.
