About The Position

The Team Member is central to the Caribou Coffee experience, creating day-making moments by delivering guest service, preparing hand-crafted beverages and food, and bringing Caribou’s purpose and values to every interaction. No previous experience is required. Team Members move between barista, greeter, and other shift duties as needed, while helping maintain a welcoming, clean, organized, and well-stocked coffeehouse.

Requirements

Must be at least 16 years of age.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays as needed.
Excellent customer service mindset.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Passion for coffee, hospitality, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

Build genuine connections with Guests through active listening, personal attention, and thoughtful service.
Hand-craft beverages and prepare food according to standard recipes, customizing orders to Guest preferences.
Move between barista, greeter, and other roles as needed during a shift.
Take orders and manage the cash drawer accurately while following cash-handling, safety, and security standards.
Keep the coffeehouse clean, organized, and well-stocked in accordance with quality and safety standards.
Anticipate the needs of Guests and teammates and take action without being asked.
Make recommendations based on product knowledge.
Resolve issues when appropriate and seek support from a leader when needed.
Take direction from leaders and balance multiple priorities.
Arrive on time and ready for every scheduled shift, maintaining reliable attendance.
