About The Position

The Team Member is at the core of the Caribou Coffee experience, creating day-making guest experiences by delivering attentive service, preparing exceptional hand-crafted beverages and food, and bringing Caribou’s purpose and values to life in every interaction. Team Members move between barista, greeter, and other duties as needed, contribute to a clean, organized, and well-stocked coffeehouse, and support both guests and teammates. No previous experience is required.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays as needed.
• Excellent customer service mindset.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Passion for coffee, hospitality, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Deliver guest service that builds genuine connections through active listening, personal attention, and thoughtful interactions.
• Hand-craft beverages and prepare food according to standard recipes, customizing orders to guest preferences.
• Move confidently between barista, greeter, and other roles as the shift requires.
• Take orders and manage the cash drawer accurately while following cash-handling, safety, and security standards.
• Keep the coffeehouse clean, organized, and well-stocked in accordance with operating, quality, and safety standards.
• Anticipate guests’ and teammates’ needs and act without waiting to be asked.
• Make recommendations based on knowledge of Caribou products.
• Resolve issues when appropriate and seek support from a leader when needed.
• Take direction from leaders while balancing multiple priorities.
• Arrive on time and ready for every scheduled shift and maintain reliable attendance.
