About The Position

Family Farm and Home is seeking a Team Member to support daily store operations and deliver exceptional customer service. The role contributes to the company’s mission of providing service, products, and prices that meet customers’ lifestyle needs. Team Members help maintain the store’s appearance by stocking products, placing items in back-stock areas, recovering and assembling merchandise, operating the cash register, and keeping the store clean. The position involves engaging with customers in the store and through company-supported internet sites, handling transactions and special orders, supporting promotional and financing programs, completing online orders, and assisting with merchandising, freight, and store safety. Team Members follow operational priorities set by store management and contribute to a positive working environment.

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and team members.
Organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
Knowledge of basic computer systems.
Ability to stand for extended periods and to reach, bend, twist, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Promote Family Farm and Home’s mission statement and family values.
Execute daily operational goals and priorities assigned by store management.
Use Farm Hand to receive communications and tasks from the corporate office and store management.
Greet customers and interact with them in a pleasant and positive manner.
Encourage customers to participate in company programs, including the loyalty program, extended warranties, add-on initiatives, financing, and Item of the Month.
Answer phone calls professionally and assist customers in stores, on company-supported internet sites, and with special orders.
Use the POS system to check out customers and follow cash-handling processes and procedures.
Use On the Go to complete POGs and mass layouts in the correct store locations.
Use Harvester to complete online customer orders.
Explain and support financing options, and use current financing websites to complete customer credit inquiries.
Assist with promotional signage, price changes, clearance prices, and other in-store signage as directed.
Assist with freight, recovery, and out-of-stock processes.
Achieve passing scores on corporate store audits, assessments, and store walks.
Monitor in-store safety issues and potential shoplifting, and communicate concerns to store management.
Uphold and support company loss-prevention measures.
Operate a forklift and/or pallet jack safely and efficiently when at least 18 years old.
Help build and assemble store displays, products, and fixtures.
Maintain cleanliness in the sales floor, receiving area, cash office, register area, restrooms, and break room.
Uphold merchandising, store cleanliness, and safety standards.
Assist with the Daily Operational Standards checklist.
Contribute to a positive working environment for team members.
Perform other duties assigned by store management or company officials.
