About The Position

New Hope of Indiana is hiring for a full-time Team Leader to supervise two houses within the Supported Living Program. This is a Monday – Friday 8am - 5pm position with some on-call evening and weekend requirements. If you’re looking for a place where you can grow your career while helping people, this is the place. You will oversee, train, and develop the Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) assigned to you. You will collaborate with and respond to questions from our residents, their family, and other internal staff or external partners. You will be an advocate for our residents ensuring their medical, emotional, and safety needs are met. You will maintain our residents' finances and funding. You will collaborate with your DSP staff by writing goals and mentoring them to achieve progress. You will participate in an on-call rotation. You will be responsible for maintaining appropriate shift coverage at your sites. You will collaborate with HR to interview & select, evaluate, and manage the disciplinary process for associates on your team.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • At least 1 year of work experience working with adult individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities living in a residential home.
  • A valid Indiana Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
  • Proof of current auto insurance.
  • Willing to use personal vehicle to transport individuals, as needed.
  • Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings, nights and weekends, as needed.

  • People management (direct supervision) experience.
