About The Position

Team Leads are responsible for monitoring and supervising staff and residents to ensure the care to residents is delivered appropriately and safely in accordance with the Resident's Handbook and unit schedule and guidelines. To be a successful Team Lead you should have a track record of working well within a team, display excellent appropriate interventions with residents and possess skills to build quality relationships with the team and other Benchmark staff. The successful applicant must be goal driven and capable of managing the day-to-day activities of a responsible leader. You will be expected to manage staff issues, provide training and performance improvement plans and/or disciplinary measures.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated history of attendance expectations.
  • Must not have any active disciplinary action or corrective action plans.
  • Current CPR and HWC certification.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree preferred OR 2 years direct care experience and a high school diploma (or equivalent).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work with other Team Leads to provide consistent application of the unit rules and schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and supervise staff and residents to ensure care is delivered appropriately and safely.
  • Manage staff issues, provide training, and implement performance improvement plans and/or disciplinary measures.
  • Train, lead, mentor, and coach all assigned floor staff.
  • Build and lead a team.
  • Facilitate team direction with strong organizational skills.
  • Work with other Team Leads to provide consistent application of unit rules and schedule.
  • Attend all unit and facility team meetings.
  • Understand the level system, matrix, and resident handbook rules and protocols.
