Maintenance Worker - Grave Shift

About The Position

Performs a variety of janitorial and custodial duties and may assist in other maintenance-related activities during the graveyard shift. This is a temporary seasonal position not to exceed 122 days that will be scheduled full time hours. Schedule: Wednesday through Sunday 12:15AM - 8:45AM. Schedule subject to change based on business needs.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be available to work 5 days per week (Wednesday- Sunday) for the graveyard shift, mid July - mid August.
• Good customer service skills.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to work outside the normal business day/week as demanded by events and programs.

Nice To Haves

• Previous janitorial or custodial experience.
• Valid California Driver's License.
• Experience operating cleaning equipment such as scrubbers, buffers, and waxers.
• Familiarity with the layout and facilities of the OC Fair & Event Center helpful.

Responsibilities

• Cleans assigned buildings, offices and other areas throughout the fairgrounds and maintains facilities in a clean and orderly manner.
• Cleans and restocks restrooms with needed supplies.
• Empties, cleans and relines trash receptacles, and disposes of trash in compactor.
• Cleans guest tables and eating areas and removes trash from eating areas.
• May operate a trash compactor/baler as needed.
• May assist in unskilled general maintenance and repair activities, including plumbing, electrical and landscaping duties as needed.
