About The Position

Reporting to the WILCEC Manager, the WIL Team Lead plays a key leadership role in advancing Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) opportunities across the college. You will provide leadership and operational oversight to Career Coaches and WIL Administrators, build strong relationships with students, employer-partners, and academic programs, and help ensure meaningful, high-quality WIL experiences that support student success and workforce readiness.

Requirements

Diploma in a related field (degree preferred) combined with experience in post-secondary education, recruitment, employer engagement, or a similar environment.
Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop team members while fostering a positive and accountable work culture.
Knowledge of career development, adult education, Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) principles, and best practices, with experience supporting diverse learner populations.
Strong relationship-building, networking, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external partners.
Excellent communication, organizational, problem-solving, and continuous improvement skills, along with a professional approach to representing the NorQuest brand.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and develop a team of Career Coaches and WIL Administrators, fostering a collaborative, high-performing, and student-focused culture.
Provide day-to-day leadership, mentorship, training, and professional development to support team effectiveness and growth.
Oversee the delivery of Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) programs, ensuring high-quality, consistent service for students, employer-partners, and academic programs.
Partner with academic leaders, faculty, and internal stakeholders to expand WIL participation and enhance student success outcomes.
Cultivate and strengthen employer-partner relationships to increase placements, experiential learning opportunities, Career Fair engagement, and job board participation.
Monitor, analyze, and report on team performance, service delivery, and key outcomes to drive continuous improvement and informed decision-making.
Identify and implement innovative practices by staying current on labour market trends, career development strategies, and WIL best practices.
Represent WILCEC internally and externally while supporting strategic planning, college-wide initiatives, and government priorities related to experiential learning and work-integrated education.
