About The Position

We are currently looking for a Work Based Learning - Technician to join our team in Decherd, TN. This role involves the assembly of automobiles and automotive parts using various tools. The technician will work as part of a team on an assembly line, completing specific sections of the product and potentially rotating through different workstations in assembly, paint, or other groups as production needs dictate. Adherence to departmental apparel guidelines is also required.

Requirements

Must be at least 16 years of age and a Junior in High School
Successfully complete chemical screen and thorough background check to include criminal history and work history
Able to lift up to 25 lbs. and be able to stand for long periods of time
Hard-working with the ability to stay focused, pay attention to detail
Safety conscious and able to work well with others
Candidates for this position must be legally authorized to work in the United States and will be required to provide proof of employment eligibility at the time of hire; Nissan uses E-Verify to validate employment eligibility.

Responsibilities

Assembly of automobiles and automotive parts using air and/or battery power tools and hand tools
Work as part of a team at a workstation along an assembly line completing a designated section of the product before moving it along to the next station.
May work as a member of assembly, paint, or other groups and be assigned different work stations/rotations as production needs require.
Able to follow all apparel guidelines specific to each department.
