About The Position

At Avivo Village, we provide a safe, welcoming alternative to unsheltered homelessness where individuals can focus on stability, recovery, and securing permanent housing. As a Team Lead, you play a critical role in creating that environment every day. You'll provide leadership, coaching, and support to Resident Advocates while ensuring day-to-day operations run smoothly and residents receive high-quality, person-centered services. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading from the front, supporting staff development, solving problems in real time, and making a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals experiencing homelessness. Avivo is a 32-hour work week organization, offering full-time pay and benefits while supporting balance and sustainability in your work. This position is scheduled to work the AM shift: 6:00 AM–2:30 PM on Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of four years of experience providing direct services in behavioral health, homelessness services, housing, human services, or a related field
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, diverse, and mission-driven environment
  • Experience providing culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and harm reduction services
  • Experience using electronic health records and documentation systems
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and support staff performance
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and communities
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
  • Passion for Avivo's mission and commitment to participant-centered services

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and work direction to Resident Advocates during assigned shifts
  • Support a safe, welcoming, and trauma-informed environment for residents and staff
  • Respond to urgent participant situations and support staff in problem-solving and decision-making
  • Coordinate shift operations and help ensure program goals and service standards are met
  • Train, mentor, and support staff through onboarding and ongoing development
  • Promote Housing First, harm reduction, recovery-oriented, and trauma-informed practices throughout the program
  • Monitor documentation, outcomes, and program compliance requirements
  • Collaborate with leadership and community partners to support participant success
  • Foster accountability, teamwork, and a culture of dignity and respect
  • Support Avivo’s commitment to undoing racism and reducing disparities through daily practice and staff coaching
