About The Position

Help Launch the Next Chapter of Avivo Village Avivo is expanding its innovative housing model with the launch of Avivo Village Central Minnesota—a new community designed to provide safety, stability, and opportunity for individuals experiencing homelessness. As a Team Lead, Resident Advocates, you will be one of the key leaders helping establish the culture, operations, and participant experience from day one. This is a unique opportunity to join a founding team and help create a community rooted in dignity, recovery, and belonging. At Avivo Village, we believe every person deserves a safe place to stay and a pathway forward. As the overnight Team Lead, you'll support residents, coach front-line staff, respond to complex situations, and ensure smooth overnight operations. Your leadership will play a vital role in creating an environment where residents feel welcomed, respected, and supported as they work toward housing stability. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading people, thrives in dynamic environments, and is energized by the opportunity to build something meaningful from the ground up. And yes — Avivo is a 32-hour work week organization, offering full-time pay and benefits while supporting balance and sustainability in your work. This position is scheduled to work 3rd Shift (10:00 PM–6:30 AM) on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of four years of experience providing direct services in housing, homelessness services, behavioral health, human services, or a related field
  • Knowledge of or willingness to learn Housing First, Harm Reduction, recovery-oriented, and trauma-informed practices
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to stay calm and make sound decisions during crisis situations
  • Experience using electronic health record systems and documentation platforms
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
  • Commitment to culturally responsive, participant-centered services
  • Ability to work overnight hours consistently

Nice To Haves

  • Experience providing leadership, coaching, mentoring, or work direction preferred
  • Experience supporting individuals experiencing homelessness, mental health challenges, substance use disorders, or other complex barriers

Responsibilities

  • Lead and provide daily work direction to Resident Advocates during overnight operations
  • Ensure a safe, welcoming, and person-centered environment for residents and staff
  • Respond to participant concerns, emergencies, and crisis situations utilizing trauma-informed and de-escalation practices
  • Support shift operations and ensure continuity of services across the 24/7 program
  • Coach, train, and support staff while promoting accountability and professional growth
  • Foster a culture grounded in Housing First, Harm Reduction, recovery, and trauma-informed care
  • Monitor documentation, reporting requirements, and compliance standards
  • Collaborate with leadership and community partners to support participant success
  • Help identify opportunities to strengthen services, operations, and participant outcomes
  • Advance Avivo's commitment to undoing racism and reducing disparities
