About The Position

The Team Lead at La Petite Academy on Cedar Road promotes the social, physical, and intellectual growth of children. The role leads classroom management and curriculum implementation, with classroom instruction accounting for at least 50% of the weekly schedule. The Team Lead communicates and builds relationships with families to support children’s achievement and the center’s success.

The position includes managing, training, or mentoring new hires and fellow teachers and creating interactive learning experiences for preschool children. The Team Lead assumes Director or Assistant Director duties in their absence, including opening and closing the school. The role also ensures children receive daily care in accordance with licensing guidelines and company standards.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Experience in a licensed childcare facility, leading a classroom, and implementing lesson plans.
• Ability to meet state and/or accreditation requirements for education and experience.
• Ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.

Nice To Haves

• College credits toward an Early Childhood Education or Child Development degree, or a CDA.
