About The Position

The Team Lead at La Petite Academy on Cedar Road supports children’s learning and development while leading classroom activities. The role includes classroom management and curriculum implementation, with classroom instruction comprising at least 50% of the weekly schedule. The Team Lead communicates with families, mentors and trains teachers and new hires, and helps create interactive learning experiences for preschool children. In the absence of the Director or Assistant Director, the Team Lead takes on their duties, including opening and closing the school. The role also ensures children receive daily care in accordance with licensing guidelines and company standards.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Have experience in a licensed childcare facility.
• Have experience leading a classroom and implementing lesson plans.
• Be able to meet applicable state and/or accreditation requirements for education and experience.
• Be able to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.

Nice To Haves

• College credits toward an Early Childhood Education or Child Development degree, or a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential.
