About The Position

The Maintenance Team Lead will perform all necessary maintenance of the facility, equipment, and grounds, in a safe, timely, and cost-efficient manner. This position will assist in planning headcount and schedules for daily work assignments for Maintenance Technicians under the Maintenance Supervisor direction. The Maintenance Team Lead will mentor, train and certify junior technicians in repair procedures, as necessary. Must have the ability to read schematics and basic electronic troubleshooting, vacuum troubleshooting, and leak detection skills. Will write procedures for specifications on repairs when requested. Responsible for the accurate and complete reporting of all work orders on their shift in the Oracle system.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required.
  • 5-10 years’ maintenance experience.
  • 2 years’ experience with Degree in a mechanical or electrical discipline
  • Proven knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Knowledge of computer applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Basic understanding of SPC and Process Control Techniques.
  • Proven Communications Skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to read prints and suggest modifications as required.
  • Ability to read electrical & mechanical drawings and technical manuals.
  • Proven Electro/Mechanical skills.
  • Knowledge of Electrical, Mechanical, Vacuum Systems and Laser operations.
  • Knowledge of Building Codes.
  • Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including, but not limited to; steel toed shoes, cut resistant gloves, jackets, aprons &/or arm guards, safety glasses, hearing protection).

Nice To Haves

  • 2-year technical school in electrical and maintenance field, preferred.
  • 3-year associate degree or equivalent program in a technical discipline, preferred.
  • Leadership or previous supervisory experience, preferred.
  • Project Leader and previous supervisory experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Schedules and plans daily assignments as scheduled and as directed.
  • Performs the on-site service and repair of process equipment, maintenance of the facility and communicates parts inventory levels.
  • Troubleshoots and services all energy sources on all equipment and implements the preventative maintenance program.
  • Interfaces with other departments and vendors.
  • Follows standard OSHA, EPA and Company safe practices on all work assignments.
  • Identifies and recommends opportunities for cost savings.
  • Responsible for the training of maintenance technicians
  • Orders spare parts for daily or weekly activities
  • Performs other assignments as required from his/her supervisor and manager.
  • Updates end of shift report.
