About The Position

Grande is hiring a motivated, hands-on Team Lead to join their cheese manufacturing team on second shift at their brand-new state-of-the-art facility in Chilton. This role involves leading and supporting Production Associates, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality operations across production, processing, and distribution. The Team Lead will coordinate daily activities, provide real-time direction and coaching, and drive performance by focusing on quality, safety, and continuous improvement. This position is crucial for fostering a collaborative, results-driven environment and ensuring products meet Grande's standards and regulatory requirements. The Team Lead will be actively involved in all aspects of production, including operating and troubleshooting equipment, performing critical processes, quality testing, and sanitation. They will also train and mentor team members, contribute to process improvements, and partner with operations and engineering to enhance efficiency and performance. This role is ideal for a proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering excellence.

Requirements

  • High School or GED
  • Cheesemaker's license
  • Pasteurizer's license
  • Minimum of three (3) or more years of experience in dairy manufacturing.
  • Must be able to demonstrate thorough understanding of required processes and have the ability to independently anticipate and make decisions.
  • Leadership skills including the ability to effectively speak, present information, respond to questions, and train & mentor others.
  • Training and/or experience with conflict management, delegation, multi-tasking, and decision making.
  • Ability to comprehend technical instructions/policies/procedures in written, verbal, or diagram form.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Project management/leadership skills.
  • Strong math, reading, and writing skills.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 Year / Associate Degree preferred
