About The Position

This is a Gloucestershire County Council job for a Team Administrator in Children’s Social Care, specifically within Residential Services. The role is full-time and permanent, based at Southfields in Stroud, which provides supported accommodation for young people aged 16-25. The administrator will support the Registered Manager and Social Care practitioners, acting as the first point of contact for the home. Key responsibilities include maintaining accurate records, supporting financial transactions, and liaising with property and facilities management. The position requires someone experienced in confidential, public-facing environments, adaptable to change, and effective at managing workloads to meet deadlines. The role is crucial in creating a welcoming, calm, and professional environment for children, young people, staff, and visitors, requiring approachability, emotional intelligence, and sensitive communication skills, especially with vulnerable young people.
