About The Position

The Department of Geography & the Environment at CSU Fullerton is seeking applications for its Teaching Associate Pool. This pool is for current and prospective CSUF graduate students in the Geography & the Environment department to teach in subject areas including Intro to Geography Lab and laboratory sections of upper division majors’ classes. Teaching Associates will be responsible for meeting with the lab coordinator, lecturing, supervising lab assignments, creating assessments and providing feedback, grading, managing lab materials, holding office hours, and other assigned duties. Appointments from this pool are temporary and may be made with short notice, often just prior to the start of an academic term. Initial appointments are for one semester only.

Requirements

  • Must be a currently enrolled or prospective graduate student in the Geography MA program.
  • A BA degree in Geography or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Willingness to interact and work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students, including first-generation college students.
